Posto Ilish is made by grinding poppy seeds into a smooth paste with mustard oil and red chilli to give a creamy gravy for the Hilsa.
Marinated with mustard paste and mustard oil, the tender Hilsa fillet is gently wrapped in a banana leaf. This delicate dish is called Bhapa Ilish.
