The aromatic smell of Mughlai cuisine was a constant at City Centre Salt Lake from January 5-7, thanks to Ambuja Neotia Group’s initiative to organise a Biryani and Kebab festival on the mall premises, giving a great savoury start to the new year for Calcuttans. It was a delightful surprise for casual visitors and serious shoppers alike to chance upon stalls put up by the best in the Mughlai food business in the city, including Aminia, India Restaurant, Bawarchi, Khawab, Karim’s (New Town), The Great Biryani Co., Wah Janaab, Royal Indian Hotel, to name a few. So that guests did not leave the mall premises without some mishti mukh, there were dedicated sweet stalls too. All in all, it was a grand fiesta and a wholesome experience of gourmet flavours for the visitors. Glimpses.
