In an attempt to further play around with the richness of Bengali cuisines, 6 Ballygunge Place is presently hosting 'Amar Rashnar Bangla' that celebrates the diversity of bhortas and a variety of dal, while welcoming patrons to indulge in an array of simple yet tasty dishes. Keeping in mind the authenticity that the brand has been known for, they have specially collaborated with Nayana Afroz, a culinary expert and food consultant from Bangladesh, who has brought in her decade-old expertise to train all the chefs of 6 Ballygunge Place and also curated the much-awaited pop- up. Bangladeshi bhortas are not only known for their enriching flavours, but also their nutritional value and that has absolutely not been compromised with. Furthermore, these indulgences can be an alternative to your regular bhaat-torkari-dal, thus adding interesting dimensions to your daily meals.

A famous dish that almost every Bengali household is familiar with, Elish Machher Matha Diye Mash Kolaier Dal comprises hilsa head that’s cooked with urad dal. Hilsa fans will thoroughly love this dish.

Ghee Arohari:

This exotic dal is total comfort food. Besides standing out for its simplicity, this delight is for someone who wishes to keep it light.

Moong Khashi:

This interesting dal is high on protein. It comprises mutton cooked with moong dal thus blending in the tastes of both mutton and dal.

Taki Macher Bhorta:

Ditch the regular way of consuming fish curries with this Taki Macher Bhorta that brings to you the enriching flavours of a spicy fish bhorta and tastes absolutely wholesome when consumed with rice and a few drops of raw mustard oil.

Dim Kolija Bhorta:

Get your protein intake at one go with this Dim Kolija Bhorta that packs in flavours of minced mushy eggs, mixed with bits of mutton liver and cooked with fried red chillies. This dish is also accompanied with a half-boiled egg.
