To ring in the new year, Fairfield by Marriott Kolkata organised World Tour — New Year’s Eve Bash in association with The Telegraph. The party brought the best of entertainment experiences. From Bollywood music to international hits and trending contemporary beats, the party had it all. The exotic dishes and cocktails on offer made sure that guests got a world-class culinary experience. High-energy music with unlimited serves of delicious snacks attracted all age groups. A New Year’s Eve special Mud Pie Cake and Mutton Biryani were the highlights of the menu. The rooftop party was mostly enjoyed by family groups. Many families celebrated their NYE under a starry sky and were entertained by a live band performance by Sohochori. From old retro Bengali and Bollywood songs to current Bollywood music, the music had the guests in the best of spirits.

Midnight moment
It was all happening on the dance floor at the midnight hour, with a young crowd having the time of their lives chanting in tune with the music, dancing and clicking selfies to freeze the moment forever.
These two young ladies were spotted in the party zone, enjoying their cocktails in between shaking a leg to the music.
DJ Jenny had a lot of fun playing funky tracks and making guests sway in tune with her beats.

“I’m super duper excited by the response the crowd has given us. More than 1,200 people are in the hotel and it is one of the biggest events of the year. Many more such events will be curated for the people of Kolkata in 2023. This New Year my resolution is happiness, staying healthy and safe, and of course, creating fantastic events for our guests,” said Manoj Jangid, hotel manager of Fairfield by Marriott Kolkata.

Kolkata delicacies and global cuisine being the main fare, bakery items were also part of the spread. Mutton Biryani, Kosha Mangsho, Mud Pie Cake, Mishti Doi, Rosogolla and Sandesh were some of the popular choices. The live counter was also a big hit with the party crowd.

Roshmita Patra, a medical student and an event manager, is a self-confessed fashionista. Wearing a pink feather top and designer trousers, she was a picture of style and confidence. “My idol is Deepika Padukone. For 2023, my wish is to work harder and touch the limits of success,” she said.
Sriza Gupta was quite the stunner in a hot-pink satin short dress.
