What to expect from the play, 'Thana Theke Aschi' starring Subhasish Mukherjee

The story revolves around a cop, named Tinkori Haldar, who pays a visit to a rich and well-known businessman, Amarnath Mullick

PLOT THICKENS:

Subhasish Mukherjee will be seen in the play Thana Theke Aschi, which will be staged at Rabindra Sadan on September 27, at 6.30pm. The story revolves around a cop, named Tinkori Haldar, who pays a visit to a rich and well-known businessman, Amarnath Mullick. After an engagement party between his daughter Rinita and Rajat, when everyone has left, Tinkori Haldar informs them that a woman named Sandhya Mondal has committed suicide in the Goabagan bustee. Everyone looks astonished but Haldar tells them that she has left behind a diary where all their names (Mr Mullick, his wife, his son Arin, his daughter Rinita and Rajat) are mentioned.

This play has been turned into a film twice and staged numerous times by well-known groups. Thana Theke Aschi is an adaptation of An Inspector Calls by J.B. Preistley.
