Kalakriti, organised and hosted by The Saturday Club on January 27 and 28 in association with t2, was an inter-club cultural fest bringing together nine premium clubs from across Calcutta. The contesting clubs participated in a variety of cultural activities during the day, including creative writing, drawing, quiz, debate, stand-up act, dance, music, fashion show and antakshari. Both evenings of the fest were similarly suitably lined up, with chat shows starring guest speakers Shobha Tharoor and Markus Schmidt. Also featuring a guitar and sitar recital by Schmidt, prom night with a back-to-school theme with DJ Akash, classical music with maestros Abhay Rustum Sopori, Pandit Partho Bose and Ustad Sabir Khan, and Savita Kapper turning the musical parade a notch higher with English retro hits, the fest was a cultural delight.
