The CMA Management Excellence Awards 2022, presented by Healthworld Hospitals, in association with The Telegraph and Fairfield by Marriott Kolkata, which took place at the Ozone Convention Centre on August 13, was an evening dedicated to recognising the outstanding contributions made by management professionals and celebrating the visions and projects of individuals whose initiatives have made significant difference and brought about positive changes in the society.
Arunangshu Ganguly, chairman of Healthworld Hospitals, spoke about the need for sculpting healthcare systems outside the metropolis and the need for trained professionals. “Healthcare is by and large a part of the hospitality industry now, but the basic tenets are widely divergent. Where in hospitality, a person spends with pleasure, in healthcare, it is in pain. So, the limits of error in delivery is very narrow. Therein comes the relevance of true astute minds and hands of true management professionals,” he added.
The Big Other, a local gypsy jazz act, provided the perfect prelude, as Jimmy Tangree played host to the evening.
T.V.S Shenoy, president of Calcutta Management Association (CMA), delivered the vote of thanks. He laced together the essence of the acceptance speeches of the recipients and emphasised on “Humility, humanity, pursuit of passion and clear communication” as “the traits of a great leader.”
