Das highlighted how women can help in creating a better society.“Economic empowerment of women is essential for fostering gender equality and driving sustainable development. By ensuring women have equal access to resources, opportunities, and decision-making power in the economy, we not only uplift individual women but also strengthen families, communities, and economies as a whole. When women thrive economically, they contribute to poverty reduction, economic growth, and social progress, creating a more inclusive and prosperous society for everyone.”
The talk show turned out to be a stage for the women to share their journeys and offer inspiration to others.
“In the modern world, women have got empowered, but the problem is that we are not training men to live with these women. I strongly feel that the mindset of our men also has to be changed. On the other ground, woman at times must also forget the competition learn to say ‘Ami nari, ami sob kichu pari na amaro komor e betha hoye, amio sara din suye thakte chai’ (I am a woman, I don’t know many things, my waist also pains and I feel like lying down the entire day). Never say die, women are like the phoenix they can rise from the ashes,” said Sudeshna Roy.
Moderator Roychowdhury underlined the need for inclusivity and collective action, urging students to recognise that women’s empowerment transcends gender. “In organising the panel discussion, Techno India Group underscores its commitment to fostering a harmonious balance between personal and professional life — an endeavour crucial for overall well-being and satisfaction.”

While speaking in the panel discussion Sujata Guin pleaded students to be daring enough to face challenges she further highlighted “Don’t leave your job in between owing to different challenges that may arise in life. I feel that today’s women have to be resilient enough to cope up with adversities and challenges.”
“Even mythology recognises the power and capability of a woman stating the keywords like ‘ardhanareeshvara’ else ‘purush and prakriti’. Our Lord is a half woman, signifying the equal rights from the very beginning. Without a woman, a man is incomplete and vice-versa. Dasabhuja, Maa, the goddess Parvati is a creator as well as a saviour, and she is replicated in every woman,” said Debanjan Banerjee, dean, media science, Techno India main campus.
By bringing together women from diverse backgrounds and professions, the programme underscored the importance of collective action in championing the rights and opportunities of women everywhere.
“In today’s time, women should get equal opportunities like men. However, to achieve the same, a little bit of hand-holding becomes necessary because there are times when a woman has to face more struggle and competition than a man. There are times when a woman chooses to opt for her family rather than sticking to their decision. At Techno India, we believe that women should always come forward to empower another woman and in the long run, men and women should hold hands to serve a larger purpose for the society,” said Rupa Majumdar.
