“Honestly, for me, the t2 party is the party that the whole of Calcutta waits for. It is an honour for me to play for t2 and it’s like I’m playing for my family. The best part is the excitement from the t2 family and the variety of song requests I got from the team. I’m enjoying the list for sure. It’s an unstoppable excitement when the t2 party knocks on our doors. And turning 17 is seriously awesome! The one wild thing that t2 can do next is a pool party on their next birthday and some fun splashing in chilly winters,” said DJ Akash Rohira.

Turning 17 is special in its way and is laden with notes and symphonies. As t2 steps on the brink of adulthood and celebrates with an ‘Into the Wild’-themed party at Roots, the dance floor lit up with some cool tracks with DJ Akash Rohira performing his magic on the console. The crowd loosened up and tapped their feet to his mixed bag of songs. They shimmied to trending Bollywood numbers like Sher khul gaye (Fighter), Pyaar hota kayi baar hai (Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar), What jhumka? (Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani) and when Jamal kudu (Animal) played, the glasses weren’t on the tables anymore. Everyone tried their hands at Bobby Deol’s signature step. He also played some Dua Lipa and Taylor Swift songs. Before Akash took over the console, Kanishk Arora kickstarted the party on a romantic note with some notable love songs and the crowd sang along with him.

Stepping into adulthood is never complete without a dash of romance and pangs of heartbreak. Kanishk Arora and his band Shubho Chakraborty (on Cajon) and Mainak Roy (on guitars) spelt love, romance and more with some heartfelt Bolly numbers like Pehle bhi main, Kesariya, Satranga and more. “I loved the crowd and the way people hummed the songs along with me. It was really special and memorable,” said Kanishk.
