As the weekend merged with New Year’s Eve, revellers and party-goers left no stone unturned to make the most of extended celebrations. The special poolside setup at Sundown2Countdown at Hyatt Regency Kolkata in association with t2 was all decked up to provide the ultimate party experience to the guests and visitors. In keeping with the party spirit, DJ Maddy was present behind the console and played foot-tapping numbers like Sooraj dooba hai, Senorita, and other party chartbusters. A range of delectable F&B options made it a memorable year-end bash. Glimpses.
WHAT THEY LOVED
(Top left) For the Zeya family, it was a coming together after the pandemic hiatus. The members came together from various parts of the world and spent New Year’s Eve in the warm company of close ones.
(Bottom left) (R-L) DJs Maddy and Addy set the vibe of the night right with nonstop party music that included famous Bollywood chartbusters, retro remixes as well as English pop numbers. “The evening is going well. People are enjoying themselves. We are pumping out beats with each passing hour. Several requests are also coming up to play certain songs that the attendees wish to groove to. We are also witnessing that as we are nearing the countdown moment, a lot many people are huddling together and readying to dance the night away. We too are hoping to give our best in the new year,” said DJ Maddy.
(Centre) Poulomi Haldar donned a pretty thighhigh slit bodycon, paired it with a statement neckpiece and carried a shimmery clutch. “We are looking forward to a beautiful time here. I love all kinds of music. For now, I want to groove largely to party music,” said Poulomi, a resident of Salt Lake.
(Right) “I have been here since evening and thoroughly loving the ambience. The food is equally delicious. They have organised everything well,” said Piyali Chatterjee, who dazzled in an emerald green dress.
ORGANISER SPEAK
“This is the time of the year which is supposed to be about fun, frolic, friends and good times. I think we have tried to give that through a family-friendly experience to our guests. We have also tried to make it as jovial as possible. We can see the guests are really enjoying and we would like it that way. We wish everyone a great and prosperous year ahead,” said Ishandeb Chatterjee, director of sales and marketing, Hyatt Regency Kolkata.
