The monsoon event of the Doctors and Sarees Group Kolkata aptly called Varsha Saranga or 'Sound of Rainfall', was a pulsating meet. The theme was purple and was held at Lord of the Drinks, South City Mall, on June 18. Purple denotes wisdom, creativity, royalty, power, ambition, and luxury. The doctor divas did not miss a single beat and the entire turnout of 42 enjoyed wholeheartedly every moment of the get-together. They matched steps to peppy Bollywood numbers, sang along with the DJ on cordless microphones, and posed tirelessly for pictures against a backdrop of purple chrysanthemums, in beautiful purple saris. The ladies also added flavour to a fashion walk choreographed by Pinky Kenworthy with innovative poses while a whole range of rain songs like Rimjhim gire sawan from Manzil, Ghanan ghanan from Lagaan, Aab ke sajan sawan mein from Chupke Chupke and Tip tip barsa paani from Mohra played in the background. Here are a few glimpses from the fun meet.

“We chose purple clouds for the artwork of this event because in our dreams purple clouds represent embracing positive energy, and means that good people will come into our lives to lead us to greatness. The clouds are meant to represent changes in your life that can bring you to a place where struggle is nonexistent, and everything is a little too good to be true. In a world full of stress and anxiety, isn’t this what we all wish for our close ones and dear friends? ” said DrRupali Basu, chairperson of DNS Kolkata and managing director and CEO, of Woodlands Multispeciality Hospital Ltd.
