The last day of the year was a gala affair at Smirnoff Lemon Pop presents The Telegraph Space Circle 31st Nite. The New Year’s Eve or the annual gala at the club saw well-heeled ladies and gentlemen, members and guests alike, pour into the venue in their most stylish ensembles and raise a toast to the final hours of the year. Revellers arrived at the Skydrome indoor stadium and warmed up to the night with sips at the counter pouring varieties of drinks. It was never a dull moment from there on as the entertainment lineup kept the guests on their feet. Singer Sweety Shrestha took charge of the frenzy and delivered one Bollywood hit after another, making the crowd leave their seats and gather on the dance floor. The palpable excitement only grew stronger as singer Charan Singh arrived in style and belted out old Bolly tunes and peppy Punjabi numbers. The evening saw a string of nostalgia binding families, friends and couples together with a lot of warmth accompanied by hugs, handholding, dancing and camera flashes capturing moments for the ‘Gram. Up next spicing up the atmosphere was DJ Uttam Gupta who was soon joined by both Charan and Shrestha with some infectious, groovy numbers. The final countdown moments made folks clap, whistle, hoot and shout Happy New Year as the trio on stage announced it’s 2024. As the crowd danced their way into the new year in high spirits past midnight, t2 caught some treasurable glimpses from the evening!
MOODS AND MUSIC

Mahua and Rajiv Sarkar had a sweet moment to themselves as they enjoyed their time on the dance floor.

DECOR
The decor at the balcony where guests queued up for starters was lovely and definitely Instagram-worthy.
SIP 'N' BITE
Everyone made a beeline for the variety of fish and chicken starters, setting off the celebrations on a crunchy note. Chicken Kalmi Kebab and Chicken Satay Sticks were the crowd favourites.
CLUB SPEAK

Yusuf Aga (left) was on emceeing duties. DJ Uttam Gupta kept the crowd moving with as he set the mood with melodic chartbusters like Jhoome jo pathaan, Chaiyya Chaiyya, Jhumka gira de and O Oh Jaane Jana.
He said: "This is my first time at Space Circle Club. Absolutely loving the audience and the vibes in here. This is the kind of energy to bid goodbye to the year and welcome the new."
Madhurima Majumdar added sparkle to the evening wth her scintillating dance performances on Ram Chahe Leela from the film Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela.
Singer sweety Shrestha sent the audience on a nostalgia trip as she harked back to golden period hits like Dum maro dum, Duniya mein logon ko, Yeh mera dil pyar ka diwana and Hungama ho gaya. Speaking to t2 she said: "The crowd was adorable. It feels nice as an artiste to put up a show where the audience is so wonderful. All thanks to The Telegraph for this collaboration."
