Joy and nostalgia was the mood at Chandrakosh — A Musical Soiree, in association with t2 at Club Verde Vista, on the night of December 24. Organised by Ambuja Neotia Group, the musical evening saw people of all ages vibe and groove to Amit Kumar’s music. The evening was set with a list of his own songs along with RD Burman classics and of course evergreen hits by his father, Kishore Kumar.

Mood and Music
The crowd was mesmerised by Amit Kumar’s voice as he started the show with Mujhko yeh zindagi lagti hai from Sailaab. He got everyone charged up with Ye zamin gaa rahi hai, Yaad aa rahi hai, Deewana dil deewana, Bade achhe lagte hain and more. The night wouldn’t have been complete without him singing one of his father, Kishore Kumar’s songs. He chose Kehna hai aaj tumse ye pehli baar. “This is the first time I am performing in Club Verde and it’s a wonderful experience to be here in Calcutta during Christmas. This is my fourth show in the city, this month,” said Amit Kumar.
Trissha Chatterjee performed a duet with Amit Kumar. They sang I am in love together. “It was a mesmerising feeling to sing with Amitji on the stage. I am glad to end the year with such a great experience,” she said.

Oindrilla Ganguly, who attended the event with her friends, was all decked up in her red and white Christmas outfit. “It was truly an amazing experience tonight with fantastic live music and ambience,” she said. Organiser speak
“The club has been organising this event for the past 10 years but after the pandemic, this is the first time the event is happening. We are very happy that we got an overall great response. The tickets for Amit Kumar’s music show were all sold out a day before the event started,” said Manish K Pandey, business head, Ambuja Neotia Clubs.
On the menu
Starting with a variety of kebabs to Gandharaj Fish Fingers served hot at the Calcutta telebhaja counter, people enjoyed the snacks along with tea. The menu also included the taste of Chennai, some Bengali dishes, Biryani and street- style chowmein. The desserts included jalebis with rabri and baked gulab jamun.
