Dalhousie Institute always stands out when it comes to hosting some of the best parties in town! Smirnoff Lemon Pop presents The Telegraph DI 31st Nite didn’t disappoint after a rocking X-Mas bash. With some rock ‘n’ roll live music by Calcutta-based set-up Jiverz, and DJ Gurmeet on the console, the stage was set ablaze with some fun foot-tapping. People flocked to the bar counter and enjoyed their tipple and snacks from the DI kitchen and as the clock struck midnight everyone burst into warm embraces, wishing each other a “Happy New Year” and ushering in 2024 like the club’s age-old tradition of the “grand march”. “New Year’s Eve celebrations at DI, our cherished social and heritage club, epitomise the spirit of unity, reflection, and hope for a brighter future. The vibrant ambience was complemented by an electrifying performance by live band Jiverz and the talented DJ Gurmeet, setting the stage alive with foot-tapping rhythms. The evening was an exquisite blend of some finest spirits from Diageo, delectable snacks and finger foods from diverse stalls, adding a delightful flavour to our celebrations. It was an enchanting gathering that resonated with music, good spirits, culinary delights, and the warmth of togetherness, marking a jubilant start to the new year,” said DI president, Jayajit Biswas.

Vece Paes with Juliana Van Steensel. “I usually don’t have resolutions but for 2024, I really decided to dance before leaving home every morning. It transforms the way you walk into the world, it makes you bold, confident and open with everyone you meet, be it family, friends or colleagues,” said Juliana. “Both Julie and I pray for world peace every morning and night, and I hope in 2024 the world will get its due peace,” added Paes.
