The birth centenary of Mrinal Sen is being celebrated with a week-long commemoration at Gorky Sadan. An exhibition has been put together of photographs, posters, lobby cards, journals and mementoes. “The highlights are things of his personal use like his spectacles, pipe, laptop and landline phone set along with some of his awards, hand-written letters and pages from his script for the film Kharij,” said an official of the Russian Centre for Science and Culture, which has organised the show with Eisenstein Cine Club, North Calcutta Film Society, Tapan Sinha
