It was a starry affair as Joy presents Anandalok Puraskar 2022 powered by Shyam Steel honoured the best of Bengali entertainment. The memorable evening saw stars being awarded in various categories of cinema, tele-serials and web series. Held at ITC Royal Bengal, the glittering awards ceremony covered three platforms — films, television and OTT — and the winners were selected by an eminent jury panel.
Vyjayanthimala Bali won the Lifetime Achievement Award, which was handed over by Prosenjit. “Apnader shobaike nomoshkar! I feel so lucky to be here and I would like to thank Anandalok for honouring me with the Lifetime Achievement Award. I accept it in all humility. It is very heartening for me to receive this award. It feels great to know that people still love me, that they watch my films. I started as a Bharatanatyam dancer... and that continued even after I gave up films. I’m still a Bharatanatyam dancer,” said Vyjayanthimala.
