Malaysia Airlines has announced the reinstatement of direct flights between Kuala Lumpur (KUL) and Kolkata (CCU), starting from December 2, 2024, further expanding its footprint in India. This will bring the airline’s direct connectivity to India to 10 destinations, including New Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Amritsar, Thiruvananthapuram and Ahmedabad.
The airline will operate five weekly flights on this route, using Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The move was followed after Amritsar successfully began daily operations last month. With the recommencement of this flight and the increased flight frequencies from Amritsar, the airline now offers 76 weekly flights between India and Malaysia.There will be two flights — Kuala Lumpur to Kolkata (flight no. MH184), departs at 9.35pm and Kolkata to Kuala Lumpur (Flight no. MH185) which departs at 12.10am. The flights will be available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The airline is also offering special introductory fares starting from Rs 21,799 all-in return via economy class, available from October 8, 2024, to November 8, 2024, for travel from December 3, 2024 through its ‘Time for Malaysia’ campaign.
