Metro services
A glitch disrupted Metro services on Friday evening. “A signal failure at Dum Dum halted train services between Dum Dum and Dakshineswar at 5.56pm,” said a Metro official. Trains ran between Dum Dum and New Garia, he said. Many passengers said trains were stranded at subsequent stations. “Normal services on the entire stretch of Blue Line resumed at 7.17pm, after the signal failure was rectified at Dum Dum,” the Metro official said.
