The legendary rock band Indian Ocean has embarked on their much-anticipated Tu Hai Tour, turning in one great performance after another. The band was at Hard Rock Cafe on June 24. Needless to say, it was a packed house. With a career spanning more than two decades, Indian Ocean is famous for its exceptional amalgamation of genres. The band recently released their six-track album Tu Hai which comprises songs that have a connecting theme — their thoughts, anger and frustration about how we are tackling matters related to the environment and nature. In 2004, when the band released their big hit, Bandeh, it highlighted the pain they felt about our slowly fading relationship with nature. Indian Ocean started the evening with the first track from their new album Tu Hai — Jaadu maaya. The lyrics are by writer and stand-up comedian Varun Grover and the song is a reminder that the planet needs to be saved... it’s our home. As the night progressed, the cheerful audience hummed and swayed to Indian Ocean’s stirring music. The band kept offering one nostalgic hit after another. t2 was there and here are some moments from the fantastic gig.

I have been listening to Indian Ocean ever since their song Bandeh came out.
