Speaking about the mall turning sixteen, Man Mohan Bagree, vice-president, South City Projects (Kolkata) Ltd, said, “It was a journey that began in 2008 with a vision to enrich the shopping experience of Kolkata residents. We want to thank the visitors, who have played an important part in making the mall one of the best and most successful destinations, not only in eastern India but in India, over so many years. We witnessed very high footfall during the ‘End of Season Sale’, Durga Puja, Christmas and then New Year. We are happy to have India’s best performing outlets, like Shoppers Stop, Pantaloons, Spencers, Timezone, etc at South City Mall”
