DJs are known to make people dance to their music and make parties come alive. Some DJs are good at other pursuits, too, as we recently found out. DCL or DJ’s Cricket League, held in association with t2, is a platform where the DJ fraternity of Calcutta comes together to celebrate sportsmanship of DJs. This year, DCL stepped into the fifth successful year of the tournament which took place in the turf hall of the Spring Club with a nail-biting finale.

A total of six teams participated in the tournament this year among whom The Grid Riders led by Captain DJ Kunal Bose and RR Remote Warriors led by captain DJ Dippy Bindra reached the finals. With an exciting six, The Grid Riders almost won the DCL Cup but lost due to an cricket field error with advantages shifting to RR Remote Warriors who won the match by five runs. Here are the glimpses of the DCL 2023 finals.

Founder and convener of DCL, DJ Akash Rohira said, “The match started at 10 in the morning and enthusiasm was there right from the beginning. We started off with the national anthem and it gave me goosebumps to watch 60 players together singing the national anthem on the field. It was a crazy final today. The match turned around for a small rule mistake but the best team won the match. I’m thankful to t2 of course, they have been with us since Day 1. The way each and every player has participated has motivated us to do better. I hope in the future our DJ fraternity of Calcutta will encourage us to do more and better.
