A total of 190 traditional art and contemporary art items were selected for display at the Annual Art Exhibition of the West Bengal State Academy of Dance Drama and Visual Arts, Rabindra Bharati University. Held at the Nandalal Bose & Jamini Roy Art Gallery, Indian Council of Cultural Relations, the artworks were selected by artists Suneel De, Subrata Ganguly, Shukla Poddar, Tapash Biswas and Ravikant Dwivedi. The five-day exhibition was inaugurated by the music director and composer Debojyoti Mishra, while the chief guest was Minakshi Mishra, regional director, ICCR, Calcutta. The inaugural function was presided over by professor Nirmalya Narayan Chakraborty, vice-chancellor, Rabindra Bharati University, and also chairman of the Academy, and Haimanti Chattopadhyay, secretary, West Bengal State Academy of Dance Drama and Visual Arts. Several awards and certificates of merit were given by them to the successful artists.
