To celebrate International Yoga Day (June 21), FICCI Flo Kolkata hosted the event Glow Inside Out with 'faceyogi' Vibhuti Arora at IMI Kolkata on June 16. Vibhuti Arora, founder of Face Yoga School in India, flew down to Calcutta for an insightful and interactive session with the Flo ladies, taught them some face yoga exercises and enlightened them with information about the benefits of face yoga. The whole session was divided into five parts by Vibhuti. The first one was based on facial stretching, followed by an intense three-minute facial cardio. Members were also shown some traditional exercises. Vibhuti also shared with the participants the essential steps of cooling down the facial muscles. Lastly, she focussed on exercises that incorporate tools such as the collagen roller. Not only did Vibhuti explain the exercises in an interesting and fun manner but also distributed drops of body oil to every member of the audience so that they could follow her along and experience the magic and transformative power of face yoga.

“Today, beauty is a small aspect. Just the tip of the iceberg to entice a person to understand the bigger concept of yoga. And when they start practising face yoga, they realise that it is not just helping them aesthetically to look good, or glow, but to glow on the inside as well, which is also my wellness mantra,” said Vibhuti. She also added that practising face yoga regularly is one of the most natural ways to protect our skin from the toxins that are so omnipresent in today’s environment and simultaneously give a better structure to our face.

“Women who reach the age of 40 tend to start having issues relating to their skin. They start looking for ways which can help their skin become better, which in turn ends up giving them confidence. So we thought that Vibhuti would be the perfect person for such an informative session. Her way of teaching people about face yoga is simple and easy for them to follow. People can do exercises which can both increase their confidence and their overall skin as well, that is what motivated me to organise such a session,” said Radhika Dalmia, chairperson of FICCI Flo Kolkata.
