Farhan Akhtar Live took Hard Rock Cafe Kolkata by storm on Saturday. Farhan who took the stage along with his band around 10.30pm, enthralled a packed house with a smashing performance. “It’s nice to be here at Hard Rock Kolkata! Thank you so much for coming in this evening and hearing this music because I don’t know how many people have heard before… most of the songs we are doing tonight are from the album Echoes that we had put out a couple of years ago but then a tiny little thing known as the coronavirus had different ideas… but now we can travel and have so many people meet and stand next to each other and not be worried. So here we are! Are you ready for this wonderful journey this evening?” said Farhan and the crowd responded with a cheer.
Wearing a tee, black jacket, denims and a pair of Air Jordans, Farhan channelled casual chic. “Farhan, I love you” chanted his fans and there was no speck of doubt why! “It’s really really a pleasure to be in your city and be welcomed with so much warmth and so much love. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts,” said Farhan.
Take Me Home, Solitary Childhood and Seagull are some of the tracks Farhan sang from his album.
He broke into spot jogging while singing Rock on on the stage. “Thank you very much, see you next time. Goodnight!” he signed off.
