The first edition of the Emami Art Experimental Film Festival is being held between November 9 and 13 at the fourth floor of Emami Art. The festival was inaugurated in the presence of Richa Agarwal, chief executive officer, Emami Art; Ushmita Sahu, director and head curator, Emami Art and Debasish Sensharma, filmmaker and academician.
The Emami Art Experimental Film Festival is being held under the aegis of a larger project called EA Locus in Focus programme whose objective is to close the gap between various distinctive practices in contemporary art.
Richa Agarwal, chief executive officer, Emami Art, said, “I am proud to announce the Emami Art Experimental Film Festival 2022. It will not only present a wonderful bouquet of unique films but will open up a novel space for viewers to interact and engage with films from multiple perspectives, especially in relation to the broader context of visual arts. Over the five days, several movies from the east and northeast regions have been screened under different categories. The festival also opened up a dialogue between the makers and the viewers to inspire and exchange perspectives over various topics. The festival included a competitive category, curated sections and special screenings.
