In a beautiful yellow and fluorescent green sari, chairperson of DNS Kolkata and managing director and CEO of Woodlands Multispeciality Hospital Kolkata, Dr Rupali Basu said, “We normally organise our meets at banquets or restaurants at star hotels or malls. Tejas Satvika stood out because the venue exuded old-world charm. While we caught up with each other and took numerous pictures as we always do with three different professional photography teams on the three floors, we also took back a slice of old Calcutta in our hearts.”  Pictures: DNS Kolkata

Doctor divas basked in vintage glory that added more sheen to their fluorescent green and yellow saris on a pleasant Sunday afternoon with the City of Joy subtly transitioning into winter. The 66 doctors had gathered for a meet called Tejas Satvika, celebrating the woman with a pure and natural soul and indomitable spirit and energy. The meet was also the 2024 calendar shoot of the Doctors and Sarees Group Kolkata for which they posed in groups of six for individual months and everyone together for the 12th month. The event was held at The Bhawanipur House, which is a stately three-storey residence of the 1930s that has been turned into an all-day café and bistro.

The doctors shot at various spots in the property, with backgrounds like the refurbished antique furniture, original doors and windows, old grills and the mature trees around that have been lovingly preserved. Here are some glimpses from the shoot.
