“When Austin was the resident DJ of Someplace Else, I used to be the resident DJ of Anticlock (HHI). Since Someplace Else would stay open longer, I would finish my work and walk in and enjoy his music and eventually end up by the same controller. Austin was a legend in our city. I will forever cherish my jamming sessions with him,” said Ash Roy to t2.

Harish Lakhmani shared his memories of DJ Austin with t2. He said:" I met Austin in 1999 and played with him at quite a few parties and even a couple of times at Someplace Else. Austin was a very approachable person and I could speak to him at length. He was a huge fan of old English music, and he was instrumental in introducing Bollywood music along with English music at many places in Calcutta. And the trend remains to this day."
