Retro-dining restaurant Chapter 2 welcomed the residents of the Southern Avenue neighbourhood to take part in a joyful Christmas choir on the morning of December 25

Two Christmas trees welcomed the visitors. One was a regular tree, dressed up with glittering ornaments. The second, made by the waste management company Hulladek Recycling, used discarded electronic waste and computer mouse as ornaments
Children had a gala time as the morning was filled with songs, fun and frolic. Project Bhasa and Devlina Kumar’s dance school, Lai Haraoba, were also a part of the celebrations
Adding to the children’s joy was Santa Claus, who came to Chapter 2 to dance and distribute gifts to the little ones
Veteran singer Sumit Roy and the carol singers entertained the crowd with popular carols like 'Feliz Navidad', 'Santa Claus is Coming to Town', 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer' and 'By the rivers of Babylon'
Debasish Kumar, MLA, dropped by to greet the children. He wished everyone a Merry Christmas and expressed his hope that the programme reaches new heights in the coming years

Pratyusha Mitra, a student of Class VII at Ballygunge Shiksha Sadan, was in attendance. She said, ‘I stay nearby. I feel great after coming here. My friends are also here, so I am enjoying myself a lot.”
