As media partner of the upcoming biopic Sam Bahadur starring Vicky Kaushal, t2 organised a contest for its readers, whose lucky winners got the chance to meet the handsome hero in person at a special meet-and-greet session held on the morning of November 17 at ITC Royal Bengal. The 10 lucky fans chattered excitedly with the actor, telling him how much they loved his movies and wished him luck with his forthcoming release. Vicky, charming and friendly as ever, interacted warmly with each of the winners and was happy to sign autographs and click selfies with them. Snapshots.
(l-r) In what was one of the sweetest fangirl moments ever, winner Jaya Bhabhra sang for Vicky a few lines of the romantic Atif Aslam number Kaise bataye tumhe aur kis tarah, after which the Bollywood star came forward and hugged her. Besides the customary groufie, winners clicked selfies with Vicky in various moods and poses, adding to the memorable moments they would cherish forever.
Saket Bansal's gesture of presenting Vicky a special memento was truly appreciated by the Sam Bahadur star. "t2 meet and greet with Vicky Kaushal was a great event. Being one of winners I got to meet the star, interact and take pictures as well. It was one of my first experiences and a great one. Thanks team t2," said Saket, a resident of Salt Lake.
“Offered a chance to meet Sam Bahadur aka Vicky Kaushal in person at ITC Royal Bengal, I put on my best FriYay mood and waited to meet him, super excited. The room lit up with his entry and I was captivated by his charm and humble nature. He shook hands with everyone and also obliged with selfies. I got his digital autograph on my phone which he was equally excited about! Meeting and getting to speak to him in person was a surreal experience. Thank you t2 for giving me this wonderful opportunity,” said Soumik Ghosh.
“As Vicky entered the room, his charismatic presence instantly captivated everyone. Despite his stardom, Vicky engaged with genuine interest, sharing anecdotes and laughter. I complimented Vicky on his looks and wished him luck for Sam Bahadur. He was remarkably approachable, and took time to listen to me and everyone else attentively. His down-to-earth demeanour made the interaction memorable, leaving a lasting impression. Meeting Vicky Kaushal was a delightful glimpse into the personality behind the screen,” said Soumyabrata Basu.
“Thanks to t2 for organising the Q&A contest which gave readers a chance to meet and interact with their favourite celeb and that too a golden chance of meeting Vicky Kaushal. We were welcomed warmly by team t2 as we all anxiously waited for Vicky to come to the venue. As soon as he entered, I was floored by his smile and warm personality. Meeting each of us individually and interacting and obliging for photos was a great gesture from him. t2 had organised the event so well that I loved the overall experience. Best of luck team Sam Bahadur for the film’s success,” said Srija Chatterjee.
“Ever since I spotted Vicky Kaushal, the 6-ft Punjabi heartthrob in the 2018 film Love Per Square Foot, the 17-year-old Swarnali was instantly smitten! As an aspiring journalist, I dreamed of interviewing him someday. And five years down the line, t2 offered me the golden opportunity to meet him. Despite being fashionably late, we clicked a bunch of photos, engaged in hearty banter, and even shared a hug! I’ll forever cherish this rendezvous with Vicky Kaushal. Love you, VK,” said Swarnali Datta.
“To say that I am immensely grateful to team t2 for this wonderful opportunity would be an understatement. I was in awe of Vicky’s humility, grounded ways and charming smile. He was all ears and patiently listened to me when I was telling him how much I admire and love his craft; that truly touched me. And to have the opportunity to click photographs, get his autograph and have a tete-a-tete with him, was the icing on the cake,” said Srijita Talukdar, an English honours student.
“With a very feeble hope I had answered the questions and mailed them to t2 but out of the blue I received their call that I was one of the fortunate ones to meet Vicky Kaushal. I was thrilled. On the day I met VK I was just awestruck with his handsomeness and very humble nature. All thanks to t2 for making one of my dreams come true. Everything was just picture perfect. Waiting eagerly for VK’s Sam Bahadur,” said Sinchan Bihani, a businessman.
“I am a big fan of Vicky Kaushal ever since I saw Masaan in 2015. His roles in Uri, Sanju, Raazi and Manmarziyaan ensured that he is here to stay for a very long time. I was present in the hotel when he came to Calcutta in November ’22 for his shooting, but was disappointed not to click a picture with him. A big thanks to t2 for selecting me and finally making my dream come true. It was lovely interacting with him and getting to know him much better,” said Debapriyo Goswami.
