BITM Kolkata inaugurates week-long open-air science show

Stand for Stunts, packed with fun science experiments, enthralls visitors of all ages

Birla Industrial and Technological Museum (BITM), a unit of the National Council of Science Museums, opens up Stand for Stunts, a week-long open-air science show, for visitors on December 24. “It took around 14 days to make this science show happen, although we had been planning for around a month. A young visitor, Sharaddyuty Kolay, a class V student of Delhi Public School, Ruby Park, said, “I love science because my family belongs to a technical background. My grandfather was a civil engineer and I learn physics from him. I loved taking part in the experiment.”

Experiments involving weight distribution and basic principles of physics created a magical experience for those who were witnessing the phenomena for the first time. Along with the children, parents, teachers and other guardians who accompanied young visitors also watched with rapt attention

The show will start every day around 1pm and continue till January 1, 2023. Visitors can check at the ticket counter for show timings
