On Sunday, May 21, Rotary Sadan hosted Pratyasha, the RCC (Rotary Community Corps) Assembly to discuss the plans and programs for the new session of 2023-24. Rotary International is an international service organisation, having a membership strength of about more than 1.3 million, spread over more than 33,000 clubs in 200 countries. It is an association of like-minded people who wish to do good to the world, develop and bring lasting changes for the betterment of the communities at large across the globe and also amongst themselves.Rotary District 3291, as a part of Rotary International, spread over 12 revenue districts of West Bengal and Andaman and Nicobar Islands, is engaged in various humanitarian activities, particularly in the areas of health, hunger, hygiene, literacy, vocational activities, environment and so on. Apart from health, hygiene, hunger and literacy, the recent Rotary meeting also shed emphasis on supporting the environment and women’s empowerment.
