The Bark in the Park pet carnival organised by PetMama —Kolkata’s first app-based pet care service provider — and aided by Aastha Seth (founder at Zibaa Gifting and Events) saw many furbabies and pet parents gather at The Backyard Kolkata near EM Bypass on January 29. More than 250 pawsome friends gathered and indulged in fun activities and food stalls made exclusively for pets. Some ended up looking uber cool with coloured hair and paw-friendly tattoos at the live grooming station. The number of activities and games our woofy friends indulged in at the agility zone, ball pit area and other gaming zones made the six long hours of Sunday one of the most memorable for Kolkata pet parents.

ORGANISER SPEAK

The Backyard was overwhelmed to host their first pet carnival with PetMama. “We’re looking forward to hosting many such events in the future. We are delighted that kids can eat, play and learn at the yard with their V.I.P’s (Very Important Pets),” said Sinaya Khan, owner, The Backyard Kolkata.

“Fur highlights and tattoos are a popular trend globally and we were keen to offer the experience as an option to pet parents here in Calcutta. We will also be launching the service on the PetMama app very soon. The colours used were temporary, pet-friendly colours manufactured by Opawz. We imported them especially from the US and did extensive research before choosing them. The colours are all designed specifically to be safe to use on pets,” said Brinda Roy, founder of PetMama.
