It’s that time of the year when people love to get their hand dirty at a cake-mixing ceremony. This is why The Spring Club on EM Bypass hosted their cake-mixing ceremony to prep for the upcoming celebrations. Hosted on December 14, the ceremony saw actor Richa Sharma make an appearance. She put on a chef’s hat and started the fun mix that was presented on a table. Joining her was Sanjeev Ghosh, the corporate general manager of the club, along with his team of chefs who also gave a helping hand.

Richa had a ball of a time at the cake mixing. “The club is close to me... since I stay here (at Silver Spring). Mr Ghosh had invited me. Christmas is coming and there is no better way to start the celebrations than getting your hands dirty in some cake-mixing. I also learnt about how the cake gets made and so now I am waiting for a cake to come to me,” she smiled.

The ingredients that went in the mix were cashews, almonds, cherries, dates, sweet pumpkin, dried pineapple and other fruits along with wines. The mix will be used to making Plum Cake and Christmas Cake where the marination process would take about a week. Members and friends can enjoy the cakes from December 23, making it just in time for the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
