This year, the event that acts as a bridge between consumers and suppliers in the tourism industry, was held from January 21 to 25 in two batches. The locations chosen were opulent with interactive sessions and gatherings held at Westin Goa, JW Marriott Goa and Slow Tide.
t2 was there for two nights and our evening began with a networking event for the US delegates, buyers and media at JW Marriott. The next morning was an important day for buyers and delegates while media meetings were held simultaneously at Westin.
Mathura Premaruban, head of global communication at Brand USA conducted a session on Brand USA's role at large. She touched upon exciting destinations, scope of business and other important aspects of Brand USA's objectives and roles.
On our last night at the event, we soaked in the vibes at Slow Tide, an open-air restaurant which redefines the ‘Anjuna shack’ model and is an ode to the region’s hippie culture.
Over 35 delegations from American states discussed opportunities and more with tourism companies and travel agents who had flown in from across the country.
Established in 2011, Brand USA was India’s first public-private partnership to lead a globally coordinated marketing effort to promote the US as a premier travel destination and communicate subsequent visa and entry policies. t2 gets you highlights from the event.
In one of the sessions held for the PR delegations, a quick round of exercise and freehand workout was also carried out.
