Christmas celebrations in Jharkhand started as soon as the clock struck midnight, with priests offering prayers and devotees gathering at churches across the state.

On Friday morning, Archbishop Felix Toppo, Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas and Congress leader Bandhu Tirkey provided food and blankets  to over a thousand rickshaw pullers to celebrate the festival in Ranchi.

In Dhanbad’s St.Anthony’s Church, prayers were carried out in the usual way, as devotees gathered to take blessings.
