Nearly 200 teachers from the Jamshedpur cluster of DAV schools took part in a teachers’ training workshop at DAV Public School, Bistupur, that started on Monday.
The three-day workshop for schoolteachers — from nursery to Class XII — is aimed at capacity building in various subjects that include English, Hindi, Sanskrit, social science, maths, computer science, among others.
The workshop includes new-age teaching techniques such as e-learning, 3D teaching, activity-based science classes, playing with shapes for geometry lessons.
The workshop also focussed on the right way to frame question papers.
The 198 teachers came from eight DAV schools, Chaibasa, Baharagora, Daltonganj, Giddi, Lohardaga; Barhir and Chatra, besides the host school in Bistupur.
Inaugurating the workshop, principal of DAV Bistupur Pragya Singh said teachers should always “kindle creativity among students”.
She added: “Whatever knowledge you (teachers) get from this training workshop, do share with your colleagues.”
