Bengal players stole the show at the ongoing Tata Steel All India Tennis Association (AITA) Championship Series 2021, being held at the Deco turf courts of the JRD TATA Sports Complex.

Bengal boys, Shivam Khanna and Keshav Goel will face each other in the boy's singles under-18 final. In the semi-final on Thursday, Khanna rallied past Odisha's Steven Ankit Ekka by a straight 6-4,7-6(6) scoreline whereas Goel outclassed Bihar's Vaibhav Singh by 6-2,6-3. Khanna and Goel played confidently and managed to have a grip over the proceedings. Though the in-form Ekka played a solid match by displaying extraordinary shots and serves, Khanna managed to have the last laugh. Goel, on the other hand, had no issues sailing past Singh.

In the girl's singles under-18 category, once again it was Bengal girls who managed to set up the summit clash as the top 2 seeds Sumeira Jaiswal and Rituja Saha entered the final with a dominating victory over statemates Samriddha Basu and Tanisha Roy, respectively.

In the girl's doubles under-18 finals, Kinza Shaikha and Priyasakhi Sajnani of Bengal got the better of Rituja Saha and Tanisha Roy from the state by 6-3,6-3. The singles final will be held tomorrow followed by the prize distribution ceremony.
