Jamshedpur: The Seraikela divisional jail superintendent on Tuesday sent a mail requesting the state prison authority to shift dreaded naxal leader Prashant Bose to Hotwar Central Jail as early as possible. The divisional administration has taken the initiative to ensure the shift of Bose to the high security prison l despite beefing up the security of the divisional jail where the veteran naxal leader is lodged.
Revealing about the move, the Seraikela divisional jail superintendent, Hemani Priya said that they have sought the shift to the Hotwar Central Jail because the high profile undertrial is sick beside being old. "Bose is paralysed and suffering from several other diseases. Being a sick undertrial, he would need medical consultation on a regular basis and treatment outside the divisional jail. But the Hotwar Central Jail being the only high security jail in the state, all types of medical facility is available there, leaving hardly any need to take him outside the central jail, " said Hemani while talking to The Telegraph Online.
The jail superintendent pointed out that about 15 hardcore naxals are lodged in the Seraikela divisional jail, turning it vulnerable after the veteran naxal leader was lodged along with five of his associates on Sunday. "Bose is currently on a week-long police remand away in Ranchi. His police remand period gets over on Saturday. We want that by the time the veteran naxal's police remand period gets over, the state prison authority pass order for the high profile undertrial's shifting from Seraikela divisional jail to the Hotwar Central jail, " the superintendent said.
She said vigilance of the five watch towers in the jail has been increased by three times. She pointed out this apart one company of paramilitary forces have been deployed in the jail security. Bose (80), a CPI-Maoist politburo member, wanted by the police of Jharkhand, Bengal and Odisha since decades was caught along with his wife Shila Hembram and four others by the Seraikela police at Gitibera Toll plaza on Kandra-Chowka road under Kandra thana area on Friday morning. The police had sent Bose and five arrested naxals to the judicial custody on Sunday.

Dhanbad: Sisters of Carmel School, Dhanbad on the occasion of World Kindness Day and World day of the poor' today came forward to laud those who have been helping them at home and also others from the underprivileged section of society from the surroundings. They distributed groceries and stationeries for children besides blankets, sarees, shawls and others.
Notably, all items distributed today have been contributed by the students between class VI and XII who have been coming to the school for offline classes as part of weeklong drive titled Joy of Giving Week beginning today and will continue till November 22. The day started at around 9.15 am with a prayer service to the foundress of the school, Mother Veronica who died on November 16, 1906.
What followed was cultural programme. Principal, Sister Maria Kirti while addressing the gathering said, “We at Carmel School aim to spread Joy of giving by caring and sharing. Joy of Sharing Week 2021 aims at collecting items that will be donated to the underprivilegedto spread happiness. We ensure that these items collected reach the ones who need them the most. This drive aims to motivate and inspire the students of Carmel to come forward to make a difference in the society and to reach out the under privileged, to have empathy for them” further said Kirti.

Dhanbad: For Pradeep Sarkar (60), one of the most famous contemporary artists from thee coal town, now based in Mumbai, is currently on an annual trip to his hometown.
Talking to The Telegraph Online today, Sarkar, who ahs been settled in Mumbai since over a decade, said, “Money has a crucial part in life for survival but for me, it is not the only thing and even if there is demand for developing more work in a short span of time, I do not accept the offer."
Sarkar, a commerce graduate from Ranchi University, who worked in various schools of Dhanbad including Indian School of Learning as an art teacher before migrating to Mumbai added, “Art is an expression of my own life that I have learnt through my experience and observation. For me, art is divine and I tried to express this philosophy in my canvases, my love for music and harmony expressions in my works.”
Sarkar whose works are at collections in Germany, USA, Dubai besides prestigious centers in India like Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi, Bhubaneshwar besides IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. “The series of my recent paintings Anticipation of divine tunes is a saga of urge, whereby the depicted art inspires others. Love, affection, emotions, bonding and festivity are at the root of my Sonata," he said.
