Shotgun also accused the Narendra Modi government of taking the country on the path of economic ruin rendering lakhs of people jobless and creating a situation of shrinking job opportunities due to closure of industries and decreased industrial production.

“The central government carried out demonetisation without thinking about the pros and cons of the decision, the biggest victim of which became the women of our society who have deposited money for emergency situations at home — their money turned into waste,” he said. “The demonetisation led to increase in unemployment and even if the nation comes out of the jolt of demonetisation the central government led by the BJP made the another blunder by implementing GST which acted as a nail in the coffin of the economy.

“Many industrial units across the country were closed down due to the impact of demonetisation and GST implementation and industrialists in cities like Surat came out on the street to protest against the central government’s decision,” he said.

“When I protested against demonetisation and GST despite being in BJP, they accused me of dissension but I said that if telling the truth is rebellion than I a am rebel,” he declared.

He said the automobile industry was on the verge of virtual collapse and the fate of the aviation industry is similar.
