RIMS junior doctors on Saturday demanded cancellation of medical licences of senior residents who alleg­edly attempted to rape a junior lady doctor at Ranchi's hospital’s Covid-19 cent­re on Thursday midnight.

Fled quarantine

Two migrant brothers who tested Covid-19 positive on Th­u­rsday, escaped the quarantine ce­ntre in Garhwa, and were found at their village ho­me. An FIR has been fil­ed aga­inst them under IPC sections for negligent and malignant acts likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life.

Fertiliser theft

A truck with chemical fertilisers, sto­len from near Vive­k­an­a­nd Vidya Mandir in Dh­u­rwa on Friday, was fou­nd on Saturday at Hu­rhuri, but the fertiliser was missing, said police.

Forgetful cops

A chain-snatching accused, Firoz An­sa­ri, arrested on May 28, fled from Bariatu police lock-up on Friday after constables forgot to lock the gate.
