Train services were affected on Sunday by a six-hour traffic-cum-power block to launch two limited height subways and dismantling of a footbridge in Adra division of South Eastern Railway (SER).

The traffic-cum-power block between Urma-Kantadih stations and Barabhum-Urma section of Adra division began at 10.15am and continued till 4.15pm.

The Asansol–Tatanagar Express remained cancelled on Sunday just like The Tatanagar-Asansol MEMU Passenger. The Asansol-Tatanagar MEMU Passenger was stopped at Purulia. Hence, the train service between Purulia and Tatanagar remained cancelled.

The Adra-Barabhum MEMU Passenger was stopped at Purulia. Hence, the train service between Purulia and Barabhum remained cancelled.

The Tatanagar-Hatia Passenger was diverted via Chandil, Gonda Bihar and Muri instead of Chandil, Purulia, Kotshila and Muri.

The Tatanagar-Dhanbad Subernarekha Express left Tatanagar at 3.20pm instead of 1.20pm on Sunday.

Officials at Garden Reach, the headquarters of SER, said in view of signalling maintenance work and commissioning of electronic interlocking system at Burnpur station in Adra division, Tatanagar-Asansol MEMU Passenger would be stopped at Adra on Monday. Tatanagar-Asansol MEMU Passenger will also be stopped at Damodar station on February 5.
