The National Institute of Technology in Adityapur (NIT Jamshedpur) had another impressive placement year for the 2015-19 batch with all 500-odd students getting plum jobs.
For the first time, more than 175 companies visited the campus in the last one year.
NIT's placement season runs from July to July.
Some of the top companies that came calling included Microsoft, Amazon, Qualcomm, ZS Associates, Samsung, Ola Cabs, Tata Metaliks, Tata Hitachi and Tata Steel.
Microsoft made the highest offer, a Rs 42 lakh annual package. The software giant recruited one student from the electrical and electronics engineering stream.
BrowserStack (a cloud Web and mobile testing company) offered the second highest annual salary, Rs 38 lakh, hiring a student from computer science engineering.
E-commerce behemoth Amazon offered the third-highest salary package, Rs 27 lakh per annum.
Amdocs, an MNC that specialises in software and services for communications, recruited 27 students while L&T hired 44 students, mostly from mechanical engineering, offering an annual salary of Rs 6.51 lakh excluding perks.
Software major Wipro signed up 17 students, offering each an annual salary of more than Rs 6.50 lakh.
Mining company Vedanta took nine students from the metallurgy engineering department and 14 students from other branches.
Other mass recruiters included consulting powerhouse Capgemini, professional services firm ZS Associates, and South Korean appliances giant Samsung.
The recruitment drive saw two first-timers. Medlife, an online health store, hired six students from computer science, offering each an annual package of Rs 12.5 lakh . Another first-time recruiter, market analyst and trading company Axxela Advisory Services, recruited three students from civil engineering for an annual salary of Rs 11 lakh each.
Automobile companies Volvo and Tata Motors recruited seven students. Volvo selected three students from mechanical engineering offering an annual salary of Rs 5.5 lakh each, and Tata Motors signed up four students from the same stream offering Rs 7 lakh per annum each.

He said the placement process for 2019-20 would begin this month-end and that two computer science engineering students have been confirmed pre-placement offer of Rs 42 lakh each by Microsoft.
