As part of effort to promote Aadhaar usage by States, Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Regional Office, Ranchi organised a State Level workshop on ‘Recent Initiatives for Simplifying Aadhaar Usage’ for the State of Jharkhand on August 23rd, 2022.
The workshop was Chaired by Shree Arun Kumar Singh, Development Commissioner, Government of Jharkhand.
Several senior officers from the Jharkhand Government, Banks, BSNL, NIC & Department of Posts and officials of Centre Government attended the workshop.
Notable amongst the senior Jharkhand state Government officers were Shree Rahul Sharma, IAS, Secretary, department of planning & development, Smt. Himani Pandey, IAS, Secretary, Department of Food Processing and Shree K. N. Jha, IAS, Secretary, DoIT & e-Governance.
The four sessions of the workshop deliberated on Aadhaar features, Key Developments on Usage of Aadhaar, Best Practices of state of Jharkhand, Data Privacy & Information Security. National Payment Corporation of India gave a presentation on Direct Benefit Transfers & Aadhaar Enabled Payment System. The sessions also elaborated on various Aadhaar online services and how UIDAI has made efforts to make enrolment and updation services a frictionless experience for the residents.
Speaking on the occasion Shree Akhilesh Kumar Gupta, Deputy Director General, UIDAI, Regional Office, Ranchi said, "Aadhaar brings digital revolution not in India only but many countries of the world are keen interested to adopt this technology."

He explained Aadhaar has become the core of India’s digital public infrastructure. He added that UIDAI is continuously working on Simplifying Aadhaar usage.
Deputy Director General, UIDAI, HQ discussed about the inherent features & Uniqueness of Aadhaar, he added, Aadhaar is verifiable both online as well as off-line in a cost-effective way.
Shree Arun Kumar Singh, IAS stated that more schemes will be covered under Aadhaar & State Government is working on it.
Shree Rahul Kumar Sharma, IAS said, "Now a days, Aadhaar is unavoidable and helped the government authorities to directly reach residents for delivery of various subsidies, benefits and services."

Smt. Himani Pandey, IAS, said, "Aadhaar made life easier and also monitoring of Government schemes. Shree Kripanand Jha, IAS told that with the help of Aadhaar we are able to eliminate duplicates."
