Dhanbad: General Secretary of CPI (ML), Dipankar Bhattacharya, on Thursday accussed the BJP of playing divisive politics in run up to assembly elections of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur and claimed the party is seeking votes in the Dharm Sansad, temple and other sentimental issues.
He claimed that if the elections are held on the real issues affecting common people like unemployment, price rise, job losses etc then BJP is not going to gain power in any of these states including in Uttar Pradesh, uttarakhand and Punjab.
He further targeted the government for failing to address all issues affecting the common people during the budget for financial year 2022-2023 tabled on the floor of parliament by finance minister, Nirmala Sitharaman.
He further said the BJP government, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi during 2021 claimed that the farmers income will be doubled by 2021 but the government is now keeping mum on the issue.
“The farmers which have suffered a lot during the recent days were expecting a lot from the government for their welfare but budget remained totally silent on the issue of farmers and ignored their issues” charged Bhattacharya who also visited the mines mishap site of Nirsa as part of his Dhanbad visit .
