Notably, more than 1 lakh people reached temple town Deoghar to offer prayer to Lord Shiva at Baidyanath Dham temple from different parts of Bihar and Bengal besides all around Jharkhand.

This despite the fact that the temple has been opened for prayer since the wee hours of today at around 3 am on Tuesday.

Deoghar DC, Manjunath Bhajantri who himself reached the site appealed to the devotees to exercise restraint and assured them all will get the opportunity to perform prayer in the temple.

Barkagaon MLA, Amba Prasad who was also in Deoghar to perform Puja reached the site after getting information about the melees and tried to meet the injured persons. Prasad who tried to express concern over the incident by meeting Deoghar SDO, Dinesh Kumar Yadav was also allegedly denied permission to meet him.

Deoghar district administration led by Dinesh Yadav however denied any major mishappening and said that only a few persons received minor injury due to heavy rush were released from hospital after primary aid.

Meanwhile, Deoghar MP, Nishikant Dubey through his tweet took a jibe at chief minister Hemant Soren for mismanagement.
