Garhwa: A man murdered his wife for not bearing a child, at Chatkman village, Garhwa. The accused, now arrested, had first strangled his wife to death and set her dead body ablaze.
On December 13, the accused had lodged a complaint against Ranka police station for the disappearance of his wife. He had informed his in-laws about Deepa's disappearance on December 12.
According to the police, he murdered her for bearing his child. The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Deepa, while her husband is Vikas Sao.
According to SDPO Ranka S K Ashtique, Sao has confessed to his wife to take his wife to an exorcist for treatment. However, on Sunday morning he took his wife inside a forest, about two kilometers away from NH 343.
SDPO said that on the basis of the FIR filed by the deceased’s mother Kamla Kunwar, police arrested the accused and that the investigation is underway.

Bokaro MSMEs learn about green technology and practices

Dhanbad: Over 200 micro small and medium enterprises (MSME) of Bokaro learnt about green technologies and practices including common energy conservation measures, energy efficiency and electrical motors and solar rooftop power generation at Bokaro today.
The day-long workshop was organized by Bokaro Industrial Area Development Authority in Association with TERI, the energy and Resources Institute at Hotel Regency of Bokaro.
The workshop targeted sustainable growth of MSMEs in the Bokaro cluster. It emphasized common energy conservation measures through use of waste heat recovery systems, cogeneration and utilization of alternative sources of energy.
Sourav Mishra, senior manager, new business initiatives of Bharat Bijlee Limited, Mumbai explained the usage of energy efficient motors.
Barun Kumar of Geogrid Innovations explained the process as well as advantages of RoofTop Solar Energy Generation for the Industry.
The experts also explained about Reduction in Discharge pressure of Air Compressors besides LID Cover for Induction Melting Furnaces and Foundries.
