Jharkhand government’s Apki Yojana, Apki Sarkar, Apke Dwar (your schemes, your government, at your door) programme aiming at processing applications related to welfare schemes has received tremendous response in the first week.
The campaign across various panchayats in all the 24 districts of the state launched on October 12 at Giridih has so far had chief minister Hemant Soren personally inspecting the campaign at Chatra, Koderma, Bokaro and Chaibasa and so far over 10 lakh applications have been received.
On the other hand, the state government has deputed the principal secretary-rank officials and various secretary-rank officers to inspect the camps with state chief secretary Sukhdev Singh inspecting the campaign at remote Karra block in the Khunti district on Wednesday and pulling up officials over complaints of irregularities in the public distribution system (PDS).
The officers shall review the progress of the ongoing campaign as well as take note of the issues being faced by the public besides taking their valuable suggestions. The officers will undertake inspection visits to various districts that have been assigned to them during the given period of October 12 – November 14 to ensure smooth functioning and overall success of the campaign.
It is to be noted that the campaign is being conducted in two phases this year. The first phase is between October 12 and 22 and the second phase between November 1 and 14, marking three years of the JMM-led UPA government in the state.
“As on Tuesday, 10,40,476 applications have been received from a total of 9,57,614 beneficiaries. Out of these, 4,78,747 applications have been disposed of while 5,61,729 applications are under process of being resolved. So far, 5,77,380 applications have been received from 5,42,094 beneficiaries under the main welfare schemes of the government. Out of these, 2,46,615 applications have already been disposed of and 3,30,765 applications are in process,” said a release issued by the state public relation department.
In the first edition of the initiative that was launched on Jharkhand Statehood Day on November 15 last year, camps for the programmes were organised in 6,000 panchayats.
In 2021, out of the 35.94 lakh applications received, 35.56 lakh applications were disposed of. Around 42,000 applications are under process, the statement said.
So far 1,19,701 applications have been received for the Sona Sobran Dhoti Sari Lungi distribution scheme out of which 68,311 beneficiaries have already been linked to the scheme while 51,216 applications are under process.
The Savitribai Phule Kishori Samridhi Yojana launched by the chief minister on October 12 has benefitted a total of 21,168 girl students while a total of 92,817 applications have been received for the scheme out of which 71,269 applications are under process.
Incidentally, the state government is eyeing to link nearly 9 lakh girl students under the scheme which aims to provide financial aid to girl students for completing their studies till they reach the age of 18 years.
