Congress meet exhorts workers to expose anti-people policy of Modi government

Jharkhand State Congress in charge Avinash Pande, who was in Dumka on Sunday to participate in the divisional level interaction programme of the party with common workers and office bearers, titled Samvad exhorted them to work continuously among the common masses by taking up their issues and trying to resolve them.

He further stressed upon the participating members of all six districts, including Dumka, Deoghar, Sahibanganj, Pakuar, Jamtara and Godda to ensure coordination and consensus within the party as well as with the alliance partner.

“We should reacxh out to people in every district, block and panchayat with various people’s welfare programmes and also listen to their grievances and try to resolve them with utmost sincerity to win their confidence," said Pande.

“Our focus at present should be on reaching out to common people and apprising them about the anti-people policy of the Narendra Modi government at the centre,” said Pande and added that breaking the alliance with JMM is not the only option but instead the party workers should first strengthen the party at the ground level.

He, however said, “The alliance government is doing good work in the state and it is our top most priority to apprise the prospective beneficiaries about this work in order to realize the aim of 2024 of ousting the BJP government at the centre."

“Sonia and Rahul Gandhi without any fear and concern are engaged in exposing the divisive agenda and anti-people policy of the Union government,” he said adding that it is time to strengthen the party through various activities, including by conducting the membership drive till March.

Earlier, working president of state Congress, Shahzada Anwar said, “The most important work for all of us is to propagate Congress ideology which is all encompassing, where people irrespective of their caste, creed, religion and linguistic identity can live in perfect unison.

Alamgir Alam, Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader and state Parliamentary Affairs minister, who was also present in the meeting highlighted the welfare measures, including house construction for the poor as well as the Dhoti Sari scheme of the government and others.
