Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren has directed a CID probe into allegations of paper leak in the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level (JSSC-CGL) recruitment tests held in September this year.

JSSC-CGL exams pave the way for the aspirants hoping to secure government jobs in different departments of Jharkhand.

After the chief minister’s order on Friday, the personnel and administrative department on Saturday issued a detailed order for a CID probe.

According to the order, the investigation of the irregularities in the JSSC-CGL examination has been handed over to the CID.

The order stated that the JSSC had conducted this examination on September 21-22, 2024. Nearly 3.04 lakh candidates appeared in this examination at 823 centres in the state. At the same time, its result was also released on December 4.

The JSSC has called the selected candidates for document verification between December 16 and 20 while for those candidates who will not be able to get the document verification done on these dates, the date of December 26-27 has been fixed.

A large number of aspirants and students had been alleging paper leak and other irregularities in the examination and thousands of aspirants from different districts have threatened to gherao the JSSC office in Ranchi on December 15.
