Talking to The Telegraph Online, Akhlaque Ahmad, a Jharia based social worker cum environmentalist said,, “Though we have developed the Neki Ki Diwar in 2017 itself but we have again given in a fresh coat of painting during this winter in order to attract the attention of donors as well as the haven’t so that they can take away the warm clothes left from them at the nails by donors.”

“We have also mentioned our phone number (9709216786) on the wall so many who are away and can’t physically come to hang the clothes send it to my home address at Katras More in Jharia through courier which I later hang on the wall for usage of needy” said Akhlaque founder of Jharia based social organization Youth Concept. Many a time the clothes hanged on the wall fall down and me and other members of Youth Concept during periodic inspection bring it to our home and hang it back after washing and pressing it properly at our home” said Ahmad and added that the concept is quite effective as many of donors to not want to disclose their identity and thus they secretly put their extra clothes on the wall which others who require them take away for their usage," Ahmad said.

“We have also appealed through slogans painted on the wall to donate only such clothes which can be used by others” further said Ahmad and majority of clothes are usable," he added.
